Is there a limit on the number of texts included in the goal of a filter?

I have installed filters to get rid of some email in my mail. However, even if the word is setup as a word filter that I keep receiving email in my inbox containing the word filtered. Yahoo supports wildcards but suggested it might exclude some of my messages. Spam Blocked Senders be different, but the line is generally the same object. Any suggestions to help solve the problem.?
