Maxxum Sony

Minolta / Sony Lens question?
I have a Minolta Maxxum 5, and a Sony Alpha 100. Its objectives are interchangeable. I have the opportunity to buy a lens Maxxum 7000 that I know is much older. The lens mount is still the same? Minolta Or was changed before the last bullet? I just bought the lens I hate not being able to use my Sony.
Minolta has introduced the A-mount when they released the Maxxum 7000 in 1985. A whole Maxxum mount lenses made for the assembly into your Sony. Minolta has also provided an adapter to mount the old manual focus MC / MD Maxxum mount lenses. Sony will release a full frame (24mm x 36mm) sensor cameras in late 2008 or early 2009. Because the Maxxum lenses were designed for the 35mm format (24×36), which will be fine in the camera frame complete.
