Nikkor 50mm f1.4-IM?
I need opinions / advice on this goal, please.
It is a good goal, but why not much better to be 50 mm 1,8 autofocus and measured and really cheap? There are several versions of AI and not one of them are considered open soft therefore be taken into account when buy. I one of them once and made candy 1.4, but near the opening of a stop or two and it is also clear that the new lenses. 0.5 is close to very little difference base their choice of ON, especially today with the ability under the light of most sensors. Note that 1.4 manual approach can be very difficult due to the shallowness field.
