How many colors of ink cartridge photo printer not average or use inkjet printer?

I wonder how many cartridges of different color than the average inkjet printer uses and how the camera uses an average because I see is a pack of 4 different colors and I'm not sure? Thanks

All photos and all colors can be made with 3 basic cyan, magenta and yellow. Some photo printers have more colors like cyan, magenta clear, gray, etc. This is usually only given a wider range and a slightly wider range of colors that are less grain than color transitions. An example would be use only the print cartridge Black on gray. You print less ink and the color seems more gray. But if you have a gray cartridge, then its color transition would be softer than you can mix several color combinations.
