Cross Star

Why is it okay to wear a Cross or Star of David to school, but offensive to wear a Pentacle?

I thought in the USA, we had freedom to worship whatever God, Gods, Goddesses or whatever our preferred one happened to be.
I checked with school policy and none of these are mentioned, my friend says we should call an attorney because our rights have been infringed upon. I’d like some opinions.
My sister & I went asked to either leave school or remove our pentacles. We walked off campus.
Why does everyone assume the pentacle is Wicca, we’re not Wicca.

Minimally, they need to justify why they are making you remove your pentacle. If they won’t even give a reason, then they are being arbitrary. They should also be able to point to some sort of actual rule. Otherwise, again, they are being arbitrary.

If you are wearing the pentacle for religious reasons, they can’t make you take it off unless they make people take off all religious symbols (crosses, stars of david, etc). If you’re not wearing it for religious reasons, then the school might actually have a better chance of being able to make you remove it.

Before you call in the lawyers, try taking it up the chain of command. People get angry once the lawyers show up. It might be far easier to talk out the issue. You should at least give it a chance before getting out the big guns.
